What I Believe About Happiness
whyiprayintheshower.com I went a little longer in this video than I intended, but happiness is important to me , and I hope it’s important to everyone. It may be hard to find for some, and hard to hold onto for others, but being happy is always possible. I even believe finding greater happiness in life is possible, no matter how happy we may already be. I don’t pretend to be happy all the time, which is what some of this video is about, but I do find a way to be happy everyday. I hope this video helps people out there, who like me, just want to have peace of mind and be happy. Although I still have to work on being happy some days, my belief in something that created life and the universe for a reason helps me, as does believing in myself. When those two beliefs are at their strongest, I feel a joy like no other happiness. www.youtube.com

How Happy Are You – A Lama Marut Video Podcast
Your relative happiness is the real gauge of spiritual progress. The first steps to perfect happiness are to recognize the unhappiness we presently live with and have become inured to. And when we begin to see the results of even a little practice, we get some faith and are willing to work hard for our spiritual goals. This videocast is taken from a teaching given in February 2009, in Vancouver Canada. Write to us at: podcast@aci-la.org
Basically, we’ve got it all wrong. All this time we’ve been led to believe that happiness is achieved by changing the external circumstances of our lives. We’re not entirely at fault for embracing this belief; we’re bombarded, day in and day out, with messages from just about everywhere about the efficacy of this course. Not happy? Change your job, your mate, your style, your home or your medication… and if that doesn’t work, do it again, until you get it right.
